Comedy Zone Old Town Theater getting close

Progress is being made every day. Opening is getting close and we wanted to keep everyone updated. The kitchen is going to be installed this week and work on the marquee should be completed by weeks end. It is just about time to get this show on the road. We are proud to bring this historic building back to life. Built in 1914, we feel its best days are ahead of us. Keep an eye out for the Opening Weekend for The Comedy Zone Alexandria.
We really appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in the very near future.

hey Tom,
I've been keeping you with your blog and wish you all the best with your new endeavor at the Old Town. Since I did a few shows there, I know how outdated the place is but I also know it has great potential and that you guys will make it an amazing venue.

Best,
Naomi Johnson

Tom,

We are interested in bringing a comedy team to the new spot upon its completion. We are already looking at a date of 3 July 07, can you contact me at your earliest to discuss this matter in further detail. I anxiously await your response.

Hey Tom,

Can I just tell you how relieved I am to read these messages? You may not realize this, but my girlfriend and I had our first date at Zigs, that was like 6 years ago.

After living in Western Fairfax County and only being able to make it to Zigs when I HAD to be there, we recently moved to Alexandria.

Just a few weeks ago we realized how close we lived now to Zigs and decided to swing by only to find it closed and demolished. My heart sank. Sure, I will miss the venue, but not knowing if I would get to talk to all of you again or know if you all landed on your feet.

Just good to hear that things are going well. Give my best to the family.
